People aren’t supposed to be
Pigeonholed.
They’re aren’t simply black or white.
But sometimes
They are a young strong woman
Whose presence manages to
Suck up the air around you long enough
For you to associate her with the art of breathing.
So when days get heavy
You’ll lungs will get weak
And you’ll need someone to talk to,
She’ll instantly be the first one
You think of.
Because revealing yourself to her
Comes naturally.
You love it
And her
Just as much as you do breathing.
And on days like these
You’ll be thankful
That the universe
Connected your wondering soul.
To this source of comfort.
This perennial wealth
Of joy
Love
Life

Birthday Message to Afroditie: The Xhosa-Shona Goddess

Fentse Mogale - The only living proof of genuine Eunoia

My glowing enigma.
This. Day. 17 years ago.
God used his hands
To fill a void
I had no idea existed.

So on this day.
He gave the world my enigma.
A touch rugby playing,
Ballerina.
Who mere presence reminds us that
You can be strong
And still have grace.
And it’s moments like these
Where I thank fate
For connecting me to
A genuine soul
With a pure heart such as yours.
To remind me that even in
Sombre society
There are still hearts worth finding
In this sea of 7 billion
People.

I may not have the words now
I doubt I ever will
but
I wanted to thank you
for all that you are
And all that you’ve done.
I wish you a happy birthday
and hope that
many more come.

I Love you. Madly

Three years later, a new girl sits cross-legged on your bed.
She tastes like a different flavor of bubblegum than you are used to.
She opens up a book that you had to read in high school, and a folded picture of us falls out of chapter three.
Now there are two unfinished stories resting in her lap.
Inevitably, she asks, and you tell her.

You say: I dated her a while back.
You don’t say: Sometimes, when I’m holding you, I imagine the smell of her vanilla perfume.

You say: She was younger than me.
You don’t say: The sixteen summers in her bones warmed the eighteen winters my skin had weathered.

You say: It’s nothing now.
You don’t say: But it was everything then.

Some things are better left unsaid.  (via fawun)

How could you forget that I’m the one who forgot all your mistakes and dirty trash, you know I cared for you. One hell of an earthquake I stood for you. Will you stand for me?
